I went rock climbing today! But that is not the beginning, and I shall start there.
This morning I was bored and so dressed up in full protective gear that I found in the garage - knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, helmet...just to see what I would look like. I looked really cool, like a video game warrior or something. Oh yeah, baby. Then I watched women's gymnastics on tv for the rest of the morning, until the elbowpads cut off my circulation, my hands swelled up and turned purple, and I decided to take off all the stuff.
Then Alex came over. We played fetch with my miserably lazy chiot and then took her for a walk. She was SO pooped out after that, so we left the house. We pretended we were furniture shopping for "our new apartment." We went to Lacks, and tis all formal in there, so we told the guy that I was a book editor and freelance writer, and that he was an architect, and that we had a combined salary of $165k. Riiiiight I'm sure he saw through THAT. But he gave us the normal schpiel and then gave us free roam of the place. We picked out, I have to say, the most kick-ass stuff. Our apartment is going to be ALL decked out. Hoo-ya.
Then we picked up James0r and Shaun, and Roxie met us, and we all went to the park. We found this ledge, I swear it must've been fifty feet off the ground, straight up, and what happens but the guys start climbing down it! Not to be outdone, I soon started down myself, and Rox took off her flipflops and headed down behind me. At one point I got really really stuck, and almost fell, and almost started crying in between my shrieks. Shaun climbed back up and rescued me though. This other time, I fell several feet, and screamed for James to catch me, which he did, luckily, although the impact almost sent us both hurtling off the ledge he'd been standing on. Other than that, our descent was uneventful. Alex did pop my beautiful purple ball, though, and I shan't forgive him for it. Ever. Do you hear that, Alex? EVER.
And then I picked up random applications at places, which was an adventure in itself. And now I am going to hang out with Jenn, and eat something, since I haven't had anything since breakfast.
Cheerio.
