music: "Duck and Run," Three Doors Down
I'm starting to get vaguely excited about college, only because it will be such a drastic change from this dull nonlife I'm drudging through right now. My major is English with an emphasis in creative writing, but I'm thinking of switching to lingusitics, which may be more useful in my chosen career field. Eh, either way, I'll be happy. <3 English.
Funny how everyone seems to formulate their own interests, and they can be so incredibly diverse. One of my friends is heavily into paintball, another into surfing and anything "beach," another everything "cowgirl;" my brother loves anything related to nature.
I must stop and point out that my friend who's an aspiring cowgirl has never ridden a horse, and has forbidden anyone to *touch* her $200 cowgirl hat. Now, pardon me for being cynical perhaps, but I happen to know that real cowboys are nothing like this. They wear the same, worn out, filthy hat day in and day out, and damned if that thing isn't touched by things you wouldn't want to sniff with a thirty foot pole. Not to mention the fact that they're more at home on a horse than their own two feet. I just have this great animosity to poser-cow..um, people, because I have authentic Colorado experience in the ways of the rodeo-runners, and it is nothing like the vague mix of Texan wannabes I've discovered here.
I have been so extremely nausious all week. I'm fairly sure I have a sinus infection, which is extremely gross, and I realize this, but after reading the mayonnaise entry, I'm shocked that you'd even come back, much less be surprised at my blatant references to phlegm and nausea. Muahaha.
