music: "Hello," Evanescence
Well today was just lovely and fascinating, like all of my days seem to have been lately. Most of my day was spent throwing shoes, staplers, books, and other projectiles at my mother's computer.
I also found the time to watch The Rules of Attraction and THREE CONSECUTIVE HOURS OF TRADING SPACES. God I love that show. Mostly I just watch it because Ty is very hot. So is Vern. And Edward. Okay so I watch it for the hot guys. But I do also like the decorating ideas. Really.
Yeah, but mostly I like Ty.
Anywho. The CD burner, as I'm sure I've mentioned before, is on my mom's computer in the next room. Well, all the jazz mp3s that I wanted to put on Abigail's mix are on MY harddrive, so I had to locate each file individually over the network and insert it on the CD burner program thingy. Each file took at least a minute, and I had gotten through about seventeen of them when the program performed an illegal operation and closed itself, completely obliterating any work I had done thus far. DAMNNIT!!
/sigh.
So instead of redoing it I just burned some other CDs I have and I'm sending her those instead. Not what I'd originally planned, but hey, I'm adaptable!
I also re-stuck my Jake collages to my wall, because the old tape didn't seem to hold them up very well. I blame Scotch for making crappy-ass tape. And not Scotch brand, but the Scottish people. All of them: they are a bunch of skirt-wearing, bagpipe-playing weirdos. (Note: My blood is thick with Scottish ancestry, so let's keep the protesting-racism hatemail to a minimum, folks.)
But what I was going to say is that the only tape I could find to hang those things up with was this massive packing tape..type.. stuff. I'm pretty sure I could hang a refrigerator from a wall with that stuff and it wouldn't fall down. Not to mention that when I take the collages down (to transfer to my dorm room walls, naturally!), the paint is almost positively going to come with it. Oh well, the homeowners are just going to have to deal with having eight odd-shaped patches of...whatever the hell is under the paint. Yep.
And all I have to say about Rules of Attraction, just in case you were wondering, is that if college turns out to be anything like that, I'm going to be the girl in the bathtub. I have higher hopes, though. And I really liked the cinematography. Pretty cool.
