music: "Pavlov's Bell," Aimee Mann
Well, it's Good Friday, and the weather is appropriately bleak and humid. I'm having miserable luck with everything so far today. I took Delia for a walk and not only were there construction men using some large equipment on our usual route (Delia took off running so fast I'm pretty sure I was knocked over from the whiplash alone -- she dragged me clear down the street. The funny thing about this is that she only weighs 30 pounds).
The other funny thing that happened was that we passed a yard sale where a bunch of little girls were helping out as "saleswomen." Their dad called to them, "Look, girls, it's a big black dog!" (They were about four or five years old). I, of course, heard him and panicked, thinking some dog was about to attack Delia so I yelled, "Oh no, where?" The dad gave me the weirdest look and I walked off as quickly as I could, beet red, as soon as I realized my mistake. It's not my fault, I don't think of Delia as a big black dog! She's only as high as my knee. Sigh.
I posted the lastest mix I made on AOTM, and as soon as I get ready to burn it, AOTM starts having technical difficulties and I realize I haven't written the song order down anywhere. Woops.
But, to salvage my rather unfortunate day, I received Jason's package from England today. It ROCKS! He is so cool. Yay for him.
