It's Mayday, Everybody!!!!

I'm feeling so skiddamerinky today! Excellent, excellent May day. I'm pretty sure everything in the world is broken and destructed all around me, but I'm like Alanis Morrissette in "Dogma": doing handstands in a pretty white dress, making everything shiny and fun again.

Well, let's see. Yesterday I had class for a bit, and read a story by D.H. Lawrence about a little kid that ends up dying over some money. It's really sad story preaching about the ills of materialism. I like D.H. Lawrence's writing style though. Nice.

I bummed around with Roxpox for awhile, that was nice. We drove around doing absolutely nothing and being best buddies like old times.

I volunteered for an hour and a half but didn't enjoy myself. I was kind of phased out and couldn't stop my mind from wandering to a certain person. AHEM.

Convinced Evan to pick me up to go to the Baskin for free scoop night, and JamesOr came along. Evan got a new car and he promised to let me drive it on Saturday (against all warning from James, which I have to admit is rather warranted. But to this day my driving record is absolutely spotless. Really!!). But Evan did take us to this cool road behind the bowling alley on which it is possible to clock high speeds completely unnoticed. We only did 80 but considering how short the road is (there's a huge fence at the end that one would no doubt careen into had he forgotten the timely use of his brake) and considering Evan's general..well, skittishness, it was actually rather fun.

And then we picked up Alex (a.k.a. Cuban), King Supreme of All Things Fun. Evan and James were begging desperately to go home and do homework (at this point it was ten or ten thirty) but Cuban and I scoffed at them so he and I hung out at my house for another hour or so watching the Simpsons. I went to take him home and we got so engrossed in conversation that we were just driving around aimlessly for another half an hour or so. And then Roxie called my cell phone, and Alex got his car and came back to my house. So Cuban was sitting there in his car, I was sitting on my sidewalk outside my house, and I was holding the phone somewhere in the air between Alex and me so the three of us could talk. Cuban decided to do the dirty and removed his pants, and after that I couldn't stop laughing as he complained about "the breeze." My friends are so odd. Anymoo after Alex went home I talked to Roxie for another hour and a half and then went to bed.

What a day. And today, we ran out of my allergy pills. My mom went down to get the prescription refilled first thing this morning, but I couldn't resist my darling puppy, and before mom'd returned, my face was buried in her silky soft black fur. I know, I know, dumb. Now my allergies have run amok, and I had the most disquieting yoga session ever: "Ahhhmm....achoo... ahhhmm... achoo..."

For the rest of the day I plan only to construct a giant maypole in my backyard and frolic around it like a forest nymph. Enjoy your month. :D
