music: “White Days,” Juliana Theory
Saw “X2” today. It’s really good, although I’m glad I went with my brother because he had to explain all of the characters and their respective powers. Most of them were pretty obvious, but even after he’d clarified her role for me, I still never quite figured out Rogue. She’s cute, though, so I assume she’s there for asthetic purposes.
We went because JJ played hooky today. I woke up feeling like it was Saturday for some reason, and this sensation was only emphasized by the fact that there was my brother, sitting in the living room at 12:30, with his health entirely intact. However, he cleared up my little mix-up and then I was good.
We played board games for a good part of the day and then went to the theater. My head is still spinning from how loud the speakers were cranked in there, although at the time it rattled the seats and everything and therefore created quite a cool special-effects feeling. The fan belt in my mom’s car is slipping and it squealed and squeaked the entire way home. That was totally random, just thought I’d throw that out there.
The weather’s not quite so hot today. It was ninety-something yesterday when I was driving home from therapy, and humid as hell (if hell is really humid). Today is overcast and bleary, but it’s okay because I’m leaving three weeks from tomorrow and don’t really give a shit what’s going on outside, anyway. I love mountains.
I’m off to try to convince mom to order pizza for dinner. Spinach pizza. With mushrooms and alfredo sauce. They really ought to make that, it’d be good. *skips*
