music: "The Way," Clay Aiken
Well, as I am related to Clay Aiken, and also because I possess a certain fondness for his talent, I bought his cd. It's actually very good... the lyrics are sweet.
Grandma bought me a pair of shoes today. I am so sick of hearing the words "in style." Down here, that's all that comes out of anybody's mouth --male, female, or vegetable. The sad thing is that "the style" has got to be horrendous, judging by the getups I've seen some people parading around in. I don't understand why they are trying to force me to conform to their misguided sense of "fashion" rather than just letting me dress the way I want to. I wear what I wear because it's comfortable and I like it. I also have my ears extensively pierced because I like the way it looks on me, and I like wearing a lot of little earrings. I don't do anything much because it's "in style." Ugh.
Well, I start work on Monday. At the grocery store. I also got a job at Best Buy but they have to get the results back from the drug test before they can "officially" hire me. I'm terribly worried.. not. I am going to be soooo tired. No human being should work 70 hours per week & volunteer 4-16 hours on top of that. However, the upside is that I am going to be, get ready.....
Muahahahaaaa.
And then I will return to school in January, just as caught up scholastically as I will be ahead financially. Honestly, sometimes I wonder how I do it, lol. That is when I'm not keeled over from exhaustion...
